Your Initial Consultation

Our motto "Your concerns are our Priority" will become apparent to you during the initial consultation. Dr. Zemplenyi will spend time to answer all of your questions, and he will provide you with information about the best treatment for achievement of your objectives. You will also obtain a written estimate of the total cost of the treatment. We find computerized imaging to be useful for discussion of some but not all problems. Often we schedule two visits prior to major cosmetic plastic surgery.

Cosmetic plastic surgery seeks to improve the appearance, and to render a cosmetic problem less apparent. It has been shown that with amelioration of appearance, there often develops an increase in self-esteem and confidence. This leads to positive changes in the workplace and in relationships. Perceived physical flaws, such as protruding ears, prominent noses, receding chins, facial blemishes, sags, scars, and wrinkles can be improved with cosmetic plastic surgery. During your consultation, Dr. Zemplenyi will review with you your expectations in order to ascertain whether they are achievable and realistic. He will explain treatment options to you, and you may elect to view pertinent videos about some of the procedures. You will also be able to see pictures of patients who underwent similar procedures. Cosmetic plastic surgery does not serve as a "cure-all". Results from plastic surgical are not only dependent on the skills of the surgeon, but also on the age, bone structure, skin texture, healing ability, and general health of the patient. Dr. Zemplenyi will use his expertise in cosmetic plastic surgery and extensive experience to aid you in determining if cosmetic plastic surgery is right for you.

There are inherent risks to any surgical undertaking. However, these risks are usually quite small. Pertinent potential risks will be discussed with you prior to surgery, usually during your second consultation with Dr. Zemplenyi. Your concerns will be addressed. In order to reduce a chance of an adverse outcome that may be associated with any surgical procedure, Dr. Zemplenyi works closely with his staff to ensure that you receive the best of care.
