Benign Tumor Excision - Soft Tissues

At the Bel-Red Center for Aesthetic Surgery, Dr. Zemplenyi often treats patients with small and larger growths of the skin and the underlying tissues. Epidermal inclusion cyst (sebaceous cysts) that result from plugged oily skin glands, are generally excised under local anesthesia. Lipomas (benign fatty tumors) may sometimes  be removed under local anesthesia through a fairly small skin incision. Nowadays, Dr. Zemplenyi is able to use the elegant liposuction technique for removal of some lipomas. This procedure, performed under local anesthesia, leaves only a very small incision at the site of the growth. The latter tends to become imperceptible with the passage of time. Larger lipomas are sometimes removed in the twilight sleep or under general anesthesia.

Other tumors treated by Dr.Zemplenyi, usually under general anesthesia, include tumors of the saliva-producing glands (parotid and submandibular glands), thyroid gland and congenital cysts of the head/neck (thyroglossal duct & branchial cleft cyst). Traumatic scars and soft tissue defects also sometimes require an excision and subsequent reconstruction using local and regional flaps or grafts.

Bel-Red Center for Aesthetic Surgery has provided Plastic Cosmetic Surgery, Non-Surgical and Reconstructive procedures to satisfied patients in Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Redmond, Renton, Woodinville and other Greater Seattle / Eastside Washington locations.
