Skin Care and Rejuvenation Products & Treatments

Skin care products are designed for the following purposes:

• To exfoliate the outer layers of skin (controlled shedding of damaged cells)
• To promote formation of new collagen in the deeper layer of the skin.
• To protect the skin from harmful sun damage
• To moisturize

Such products expose a new, fresh layer and cause formation of new collagen giving the skin a younger, smoother, tighter and more lustrous appearance. They may even decrease fine, age-related wrinkles. Exfoliation is accomplished with daily use of Alpha-hydroxy or Beta-hydroxy (fruity) acids. These non-toxic, natural compounds dissolve bridges between the outer layer skin cells. This promotes shedding as well as penetration of other chemical compounds and nutrients into the skin. Repetitive mild glycolic chemical peels and/or microdermabrasion speed up the skin rejuvenation process. Other substances such as Retinoic acid (Retin-A) and Retinol, related to Vitamin A, unclog pores and induce new collagen synthesis. Copper peptide products are also effective for rejuvenation. Moisturizers restore the softness to the dehydrated, dry and weathered skin. Sun protection, guarding against the harmful and damaging effects of the ultraviolet A & B rays is essential. As an anti-oxidant, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) helps to protect the skin against toxic effects of oxygen radicals. In addition, brown spots, "liver spots" and blotchy skin (areas of hyperpigmentation) are bleached with Hydroquinone and Kojic acid.

In addition to regular use of these products, a program of multiple sessions of microdermabrasion further reverses the age-related skin changes and renders the skin younger looking, closer in smoothness, color, sheen and texture of baby skin.

Even more dramatic results may be achieved using the non-invasive Photofacial (Fotofacial RF) program with our Syneron Aurora. Skin wrinkles and folds are successfully treated with injections of a variety of naturally occurring (Filler substances) or with Laser resurfacing.
